Dominion Group was an interesting client with an exciting need. When we got involved they were riding the real estate boom to new levels of success. Their team was growing and in the midst of that growth their co-founder and CEO Mark Taylor sensed the need to refine their why statements (vision, mission, and values) and connect their people to this purpose. Working with much-loved collaborator Whiteboard, we hosted a series of interviews with their staff, conducted a competitive brand audit, and began to excavate the undefined elements of their company culture. Taking this information we wrote a new vision statement, built a framework for creating team charters, and identified previously undefined values. We continued to dig into these themes, creating cultural mantras and reframing spontaneous gatherings as culture-buidling exercises. We collected and organized this internal message into an employee handbook.
